Dr Ahmed Karar Ali, MBBS, RCGP, MAcadMed (UK), MSc. Medical Education (Maastricht University)
Ahmed is a dedicated Portfolio GP based in the Northeast of England and a proud cofounder of the Sudanese British Primary Care Association (SBPCA), where he also serves as an elected Executive Committee (EC) member from 2021 to 2023.
Beyond clinical practice, Ahmed is deeply involved in medical education and volunteering works. He is an associate clinical tutor in clinical skills and an OSCE examiner at Sunderland Medical School. been awarded the Member of the Year 2022 by the RCGP (First5 of the Year category) for his work in enhancing GP services, training, wellbeing, and professional support across career grades. He also received the Ruth Dunlop Prize for GP Trainee of the Year 2020/2021 from the Durham & Tees Valley GP Training Programme.
His vision is to leverage the rich experience gained from working within the NHS to contribute toward the training, development and strengthening of primary healthcare systems nationally & internationally.
