🩺 Hearts for Al-Fashir | SPCA Humanitarian Appeal
AL-FASHIR IS BLEEDING —
The people of Al-Fashir, North Darfur, are enduring an unimaginable humanitarian catastrophe.
Thousands of civilians have been killed, hospitals have been destroyed, and families are trapped without food, clean water, or medical care.
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have besieged the city — shelling homes, targeting hospitals, and blocking life-saving aid.

According to officials, over 26,000 people fled in just two days; 460 patients were killed inside All Saudi Hospital after a direct attack.
This is not just a crisis — it is a human tragedy that demands global attention and immediate action.
The Sudanese Primary Care Association (SPCA) stands with the people of Darfur and calls for urgent steps to:
1️⃣ Protect civilians and open safe humanitarian corridors.

2️⃣ Deliver emergency medical and food supplies to those in need.
3️⃣ Restore essential health and water services to affected communities.

💚 Together, we can save lives and bring hope to Al-Fashir.
Your donation helps deliver medical aid, food, clean water, and emergency relief to families in crisis.

🌍 Stand with Sudan. Stand for humanity.

Strengthening Primary Care in Sudan

We are delighted to announce a new partnership between Primary Care International (PCI) and the Sudanese Primary Care Association (SPCA).

Through this collaboration, over 200 Sudanese doctors have joined The PCI Academy, gaining access to more than 70 hours of high-quality online training. The programme includes courses in Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Management, Leadership, Paediatrics, Mental Health, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Pain Management, and Digital Literacy.

“This initiative will provide both trainers and trainees with essential tools to sustain their professional development. Despite the severe disruptions to medical education caused by the ongoing conflict, this programme ensures that over 220 participants can continue their training effectively. Together, we are committed to safeguarding the future of primary care education in Sudan.”— President, SPCA

RCGP conference, October 2025

What an incredible moment! Huge congratulations to Dr Bedria Akasha and Dr Roaa Awadallah for the fantastic and well-deserved honour of presenting a poster on the Sudanese British Primary Care Association (SBPCA)’s vital work at the prestigious RCGP conference.
Seeing our mission to support Sudanese International Medical Graduate (IMG) GP trainees showcased on such a significant platform fills me with immense pride. Your dedication, and the dedication of the entire SBPCA team, is a beacon of hope and a powerful catalyst for change.
The journey for IMG trainees is filled with unique challenges, and the voluntary work the SBPCA does is not just beneficial—it’s essential. It provides the guidance, community, and advocacy that can make all the difference in a doctor’s career.
Let’s keep this momentum going! A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved. Your continued commitment is changing lives and strengthening our primary care community. Onwards and upwards! ✨
